I got a C in one of the toughest honors classes in our school a B- in AP Chem and a B+ in AP Euro. If I can get straight A's second semester, will colleges appreciate the improvement in grades or will they just throw away my application at the sight of the C?
Hello! I don't think this would tank your application. Colleges would look at what class you got the C in, and since it is one of the hardest honors classes at your school, they will definitely take this into account (this applies for your B's, too). Straight A's would definitely be appreciated because it shows your dedication for improvement and shows that you challenge yourself academically. Your application is not ruined. Good luck!
