AP and Honors Classes
Answered

Hello people!

I am an international student and in my country we don't have neither AP, Honors Classes nor IB…

How should I do about this?

I know they are a differentiator, but I don't have that.

How could I make up for that?

Hey there @PurpleSky!

Firstly, try to see if local colleges, universities, or community colleges have programs for high school students that you could get involved in. This could be in the form of a dual enrollment class through your high school, an online program offered by the institution, or other classes open to high school students. If this isn't possible, focus on doing well in the classes that are offered to you at your school; building good study strategies, routines, and habits will help you succeed in high school and college-level classes. On your college applications, you can also specify that higher level classes weren't offered to you, which they will take into account when reviewing your profile.

Good luck!
