Context: I am an international student, and here, we are graded on a 0-10 score. A great average here would be one above 9, and I have that. However, the American grading system is really stressing me out because, after some calculations, I've figured that I currently have a 3.91 unweighted GPA (not taking into account my 9th-grade average because of some problems with my school system, nor my senior year grade because it starts next month). I know that's not a horrible score, but still.
My only hope regarding this matter is the amount of classes I had - in 2022, it was 12. In 2023, 15. After calculating my credits (I'm unfamiliar with the concept, btw), I found out I passed 10th grade with 800 credits and 11th with 512. I will graduate HS with +5k hours at school and around 2k credits (yes, the Brazilian educational system is wild). Maybe they'll forgive my grades given the amount of hours?
So, with all that in mind, what do you guys think? I know grades aren't the only thing they'll look at, but it's making me worried. My extracurriculars and honors are great I guess (youth delegate, developer, math scholar, math olympiad medals, etc), so yeah.
