College reccomendation letters
Answered

I’m a junior and currently struggling to figure out what teachers to ask for recommendations. I’m quiet in class but do well and I’m respectful but the teachers don’t really know me which I’ve heard can be a problem if you want them to write you a recommendation. How should I go about getting one?

Get to know a teacher you like well and ask them whenever you feel comfortable with them giving you advice.

I know it may be hard, but try to begin connecting with a teacher or high school counselor. Besides teachers, there are many other people who can write letters of rec:

Coaches: If you have been involved in a sport or athletic activity, your coach can speak to your dedication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

Club advisors or extracurricular leaders: If you have participated in clubs, community service organizations, or other extracurricular activities, the advisors or leaders of these groups can discuss your contributions and personal growth.

Employers or supervisors: If you have work experience, your employer or supervisor can describe your work ethic, problem-solving skills, and professionalism.

Community leaders or mentors: If you have a mentor or have worked closely with a community leader, they can testify to your character, motivation, and potential. Could be pastors, youth group leaders, counselors, etc.

Hope this helps! You can do this! If you have any questions, lmk!
