How do you start your own organization as a high schooler
Answered

I’m a sophomore in high and I was looking to do something during the summer that focuses on standing out in college applications. When I was reading over some people’s descriptions I saw that most of them had an organization that fund money for certain events. I wanted to know I they where able to do that?

If you know please tell me

I want to do something related to engineering or science in general

id first try to find a group of students that want to join in this group, then contact a teacher to be a potential advisor, then contact your counselor. Im pretty sure from there you can get their help with contacting the principal and setting up funding

start a club where once a week where you have professionals in different fields come in a talk to a group of students during lunch. and monthly you take trips to different engineering sites. it's very easy and simple just ask your principal for approval with a plan tell them how much funding you need and start emailing local engineers and companies and most responses will be positive. my girls in stem club, sports, and college counseling do it all the time. since I'm only in the stem club I can tell you that we schedule private tours of colleges and their schools of engineering/architecture/design and their free. also during lunch we put dibs on our school auditorium for our visitors to speak and we send out an email to the entire school that so and so is coming to do a seminar to talk about their career in said field. college counselling schedules multiple rooms sometimes because many admissions officers come to speak to us and its open to all grades at the begining of the week they send out an email with all the schools coming, what room their in, what day, and average gpa their looking for. for sports it's all in the gym for try outs, musicals, summer programs, summer jobs, food banks, and everything else related to activities outside of school. it's a very easy plan and doesn't require too much funding usually we pay for our own travel to field trips outside of school hours, and the school pays for lunch when we have people come in. also my favorite part is being pardoned from class to give visitors a tour of the school before lunch.
