Should I take AP Calc AB and then BC or go straight to BC

I am a current sophomore and I need help with picking my classes. Will taking calc AB next year instead of going straight to BC hurt me for college admissions? I was planning on taking AB next year and then BC.

It depends on your goals for the future, really. Going straight to BC instead of AB would look good, but taking AB junior is still quite impressive for colleges. Going from AB to BC wouldn't hurt, as both of those courses are rigorous and look good for college.

Also, why do you want to go straight to BC? I think if you can answer this question, then you can figure out which course to do. Good luck.

It's that my school lets people take BC without having to take AB and a lot of people I know are taking BC.

At my school, if you take Calc BC (and stats) junior year, you can take Calculus 3 senior year.

Taking Calc BC might also be more difficult, but it's basically the same as AB, though BC only has 2 more units.
