Which one should I take if I plan to choose computer science or health care as a career path?
They’re both in 11th grade only so…
I am in tenth grade tight now, (only one AP so far as my school didn’t have the schedule to fit me in the other ones like Comp Sci and Seminar) and I don’t know what to do. I for sure love reading and researching. Just wondering if I can take both plus APUSH and an AP science or normal physics.
Thank you.
Also people in my school say AP literature is fun and easy. While others say AP Seminar is pain but fun to work with. I don’t mind the pain.
I think that AP Seminar would be more beneficial to a major in either computer science or health care because Seminar teaches you great skills such as collaboration and research, which are both very helpful to your intended majors than AP Lit would be. Both are good classes, but Seminar is more useful than Lit.
I agree with @JhnJy, I am personally also going to take AP Seminar next year. AP Seminar is easier, and probably fits the skill set better to your major. The most important thing is that it continues with AP Research (most of the time) which can earn you AP Capstone Diploma or Certificate. One important thing is that, while AP Seminar is considered easier than other APs, I did hear that it is time consuming since it is mostly project based class. For me, it is not a problem because I love making projects and love taking time to create the best of the best.
If you are mainly looking for AP credit, then AP Lit could be better for you, but generally in my opinion, AP Seminar is better.
Good luck!
