My current school has a program where they offer enough Dual Enrollment classes to a point where I could earn an Associates degree by the time i graduate as a senior. I'm kind of worried about course load, but the way it works is that most classes earn college credit anyway. Should I take it?
As a sophomore that's enrolled in a similar program right now, I would recommend you take it! The course load seems to be about the same as regular high school and there are only a few things I think you need to focus on. These would be time management and also if the program focuses on what you want to go into. If the associate's degree and majority of the college level classes are definitely in the field of what you want to major in, go for it! If not, I'd think twice because it's up to you if you think it's worth the extra effort in something you're not going into in college. Personally, I enrolled in my program because it's in health sciences and I'm going into biotechnology, so it aligns pretty well. If you have any more questions, let me know! I hope this helped!
I would take it; I'm currently also in a program that does something similar and am planning to get my associates by the end of senior year. Course load isn't too bad I'd say but time management is important.
