Summer Science Program (SSP)

My daughter got accepted into Summer Science Program in Genomics for summer 2024. But we are not sure if this is worth the money and time commitment. If anyone has insight into this program and how prestigious it is in terms of college admissions, please let me know. Is this the same as other pay-to-play programs or is this different? She is a Sophomore and Genomics is her area of interest. Thank You!

i'd say it's a pretty reputable & prestigious program w/ an abt ~10% acceptance rate, but if you don't get any financial aid it's pretty expensive. just depends on your family situation and how much this program could help her on her path to college vs. how much it would cost. it isn't quite pay-to-play but it definitely costs a pretty penny.
