Admissions Advice

What is the best starting point for my college admissions?
Answered

As a junior going on senior in high school, I've began the process of applying to schools. My current grades consist of mainly High As and Bs, and rarely any Cs. There was a problem with my gradebook where zeros were put in for big assignments. Weeks passed before the issue was fix, but by then the grade drop had changed my GPA from a 3.7 to 3.2

My grades since then had been nearly straight As, yet no change in my GPA. The time for my to send in my applications is nearing but I'm worried this mistake will stop me from getting into my dream college, the University of Michigan. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi! If you have a good reason then definitely explain your GPA drop. Let me use myself as an example. I got 5 As, 3 Bs, and 1 C in my Sophomore year (took 2 classes online). I took 6 AP classes the next year and got all As in all except for 1. That shows improvement. I'm also a bit confused why your school won't change it... Try to get parental backing if possible because that is honestly terrible.

Hope this helps! I want you to feel good when you click the green "Accept" button, so please feel free to ask if you have any other questions.
