My GPA freshman year was pretty bad, something like 3.52, and this semester I'm on track to have all A's but one B+. I really feel like I'm not on track to have a good enough GPA for one of my dream schools (UCLA, UCSD, UMich, WashU, Vanderbilt, etc.), and my Goal is to have a 3.8+ GPA. Just wondering if I should be worried.
Hey! As a sophomore, you still have plenty of time to raise your GPA. A 3.52 is not an awful GPA, and especially since you seem to be off to a great start this year, you should be on track to be within the GPA that you'd like to have. I would like to say, schools like to see growth. They wanna see that you are able to grow from those rough periods. So, if they see that your freshman year you got a few bad grades, but then you were able to get mostly good grades for the rest of high school, they will be willing to look past a slightly lower GPA. You can also give further explanation into anything abnormal on your application, so that you can clear up anything that might be a red flag.
What I think is most important right now for you is to start getting involved and finding what you're passionate about. Finding that depth within your extracurriculars - whether that's leadership positions, fundraising, volunteering, internship, etc. - is often one of the most important parts of your college applications.
I wish you so much luck!

thank you @Adianca, I already started on my passion which is medicine just last year, so I'm voulenteering at the hospital, a member of science olympiad, and competing for a spot at ISEF this year.
