So my GPA as a junior is currently a 2.469, do you have any advice on how it can be better before the end of senior year?
take some more honors and ap classes. also speak to teachers and show them that you care so they can help you out more
I'm a junior too, and here are some ways I'm bringing it up:
1. Turn in missing work from current year, retake some tests, extra credit
2. Take weighted classes, such as honors/AP, only IF you can handle it, it's better to have a B in an on-level, than a C or D in an Honors. This will only boost weighted GPA though
3. Worse comes to worse, retake the classes you messed up the most in online. Do it this year OR beginning of senior year, in time for unofficial transcripts and college applications.
I have a 3.125 unweighted, most likely a 3.3 unweighted by the end, and a 3.3 weighted, most likely a 3.5/.6 by the end. Good luck!
Honestly the easiest way is honors and AP. It may not move up much even if you get an a in all of your classes if they are not honor or AP ´ s. My advice go into as many hard classes you can take and grind them out, your gpa might not change much since you've already taken a bunch of classes but it is the best way.
As others have suggested, I would take weighted classes like AP's and adv. classes if you can handle it. The easiest ones imo that may be offered are APHUG, APCSP, AP Psych, and APES! Also, if you can, make sure to take a study hall and/or senior release as they don't (at least for us) affect GPA, but they still help you catch up on your work. Lastly, (sometimes) make sure to just ask nicely if your grade can be changed. For example, I asked my teacher (nicely) to change my participation grade from an 80 to a 90, and even though she said no, she changed her mind and did! This brought my grade from a B+ to A-
Honestly, you need to talk to guidance and take some online classes to boost your GPA. Some summer classes can really help and take honors too. Even if you get a lower grade, it'll still count as more points than a normal grade.
