Can you convert an RD application to ED2 at Tufts after the submission date?

After submitting a RD application, is it too late to change it to ED2? Also, does ED2 have the same benefit as ED1?

If you contact Tufts admission Monday AM, I'm sure they will give a definitive answer more so than anyone here who doesn't work for Tufts.

Also, out of curiosity, why do an ED2 to Tufts? Don't you want the flexibility to apply to as many top colleges RD as possible since acceptance rates are going to be super low this year or is Tufts your #1 choice?

I hope you know that Early Decision means that you will be binded to the school. Meaning you will have to go. Are you committed to going to Tufts if you're accepted? If you aren't 100% sure you want to go nor are you 100% sure you can afford it, I would stick to RD.

But to answer the second part of your question: typically there's a better chance at getting in ED because schools know that you're 100% committed to them, the only downside is now you HAVE to go, even if you change your mind.
