If I played varsity and club for the same sport, should I put them separately on Common App?

I played basketball on both a varsity and club level, do I put them as separate activities on the Common App, or do I try to combine the two?

If you run out of room to describe each activity when combined then go ahead and separate them (i.e. you were captain, all-conference, all state, set the school scoring record, etc. on your high school team and you run up to the word limit before getting to the club team). If you don't need further space to describe the activities then go ahead and combine them. An AO will get the information either way to get a picture of who you are.
