2:21@PamDemic:We can hear you, Yesh!
4:38@suvitti:how do I seek out online research internships ? I'm from India
9:13@PamDemic:Tips for international students to find extra curriculms when there no extra curriculms avaible. I am intrested in accunting/busniess related fields. I can not get an intersnhip for example since its for university students only
14:21@anonymousems:hey! im looking into applying for the grassroots democrats fellowship this summer, and i was wondering how heavily that would help my application? I am really passionate about it but it is 20 hrs a week, and i want to make sure that that time is also going to benefit my college app.
19:30@anonymousems:I want to apply for an internship through a really well known legal nonprofit for next summer, but the position is for high schoolers, undergrad students, law students, and post-bar lawyers, so safe to say its really competitive lol. as someone on the much younger end of the spectrum, how could i make my application stand out?
23:43@Cmetz:You cut out when talking about internships. I received an internship from a couple of schools but if I do them and then apply to different schools from my internships how will that affect my applications ?
25:18@PamDemic:A question in addition to @anonymousems question, would being a part of a conservative group "hurt" your application if your applying to schools like the ivys that are more liberal
26:55@suvitti:I have applied for some Psychology related internships but if I am not able to do any then what could I do instead to make the most of my summer holidays that are going on right now ?
31:50@Payita:what do you think about capstone projects or independent research projects? Some universities ask you to speak about a project outside your academics (like a research project). Should it be in the area of my intended major or any good research project that would demonstrate creativity and personal initiative would be fine (if it is an area of personal interest)?
34:19@Payita:For an intended Pre Med major, other than research, what are other areas that could help an application to Med school (other than GPA and MCAT)
38:57@Payita:What is your opinion on MD vs DO for med school?
42:48@PamDemic:Would being an underepresented group or race like black people matter for international student. Like a black person from England vs a white person from England. Would affirmative action play a role for non domestic students?
45:47@Cmetz:Any word on what acceptances to colleges looked like this year with and without sat/act scores? I am a junior and wonder if I should submit scores ?
49:51@Payita:One suggestion is to adapt the Collegevine search engine for international students, or other types of academic background (like IB)
50:47@anonymous9:if I am an international student and I am applying for aid to a need blind University (Yale) will applying early decision put me at a disadvantage because I am applying for aid ? Also will I be compared to other international students applying for aid or only people from my school
53:09@PamDemic:Would you say that you should have good amount of top tier activtives? Specially for top schools
56:59@suvitti:if I won a partial scholarship for a course at Cambridge by entering an essay competition about Psychology what tier activity would that be ?
57:32@PamDemic:Can you send a review for life profile chaning a second time?
57:59@Learner:National Merit scholarship finalists will be not determed yet at the time of college application. However, semifinalist will be announced before. If any semifinalist stance scan help for outstanding EC?
58:48@anonymousems:could the why school stream also apply for like “why this company” for an internship lol
61:13@suvitti:if I wrote a research paper for a competition but did not win then what value does that hold ? (this is for another competition)
