College Algebra or PreCalc

I’m going to be in my senior year next year and I was debating on taking College algebra instead of advancing to pre call. Will this affect my acceptance to some schools?

Hey! It all depends on the school and what you are majoring in. Some schools require pre-calculus or calculus to apply to some majors. I know as a future engineering major, I need to take calculus before I graduate high school. However, I'm sure that humanities majors will not place as much weight on what math courses you take. If your major does not have any math prerequisites, then choosing the more rigorous course would look best. If both of them are honors/dual enrollment, then I think the pre calculus will look better, but if you know that you will do a lot better in college algebra, take that course. I hope this helps!
