Hi everyone! I am very interested in applying to MIT but I'm not sure if my extracurriculars are strong enough for me to be accepted. If I am recruited by the MIT tennis coach, is it okay for me to list different types of sports that I play as my four extracurriculars, or should I try to get academic extracurriculars? Any advice would help. Thank you!
MIT is a Division III school do they do not recruit athletes nor do they offer athletic scholarships.
If you want to get into MIT then I would not put many sports ECs on your application except the one you excel at. Also, focus on ECs that make you unique and different from all the other applicants that apply to MIT.
If you are trying to leverage your sports spike and want to be recruited, focus on Division I schools like the Ivy League Schools, Stanford and Duke.

I am top 50 in the country in two sports and top 30 in the country for one sport. Are those good enough for me to list as my extracurriculars?
