Hey y'all,
I used this site starting last year, and have pretty much wrapped up with decisions and commitment. This site gave me useful knowledge about how to write essays properly and how to apply to college! Generally speaking.
I was admitted to UMich, UCSD (w/ Chancellor's), UC Irvine (Honors), UC Davis, UCSB, SJSU, Cal Poly SLO, Pitt, CO Mines
Waitlisted: UCLA, Northeastern, Georgia Tech
Rejected: Stanford, MIT, WASHU, UC Berkeley
for Computer Engineering/EECS.
Anyways, I'm very glad for the advice and services I got here, and am excited to be attending UCSD this fall to do Computer Engineering & Linguistics.
UPDATE: waitlisted Tufts and Duke as well
Congrats on the acceptances! How did you ultimately decide on UCSD?
Getting the Chancellor's Scholarship was honestly a huge plus ($5000/year is a lot) + guaranteed housing! UMich I also got a scholarship worth like $20K (I don't even remember) but it just didn't make sense financially. Combined with the strong engineering program and strong resources for a student like me, it was a perfect fit.
Congratulations! Those are such amazing schools. If you don't mind me asking, what was your chance ranges for UCSD, UCLA, and Northeastern?
UCSD was target 70-80% chance
UCLA was hard target (38-46% chance)
Northeastern was target (71-82% chance, but note Northeastern I showed no demonstrated interest)
Congratulations!! These are all amazing schools, and you must've worked incredibly hard :)
oh still waiting on Duke, Tufts, and Cornell too, but UCSD is my top choice over those 3 at this point
got waitlisted at all 3 haha
