Admissions Advice

A super weird question: Can I list this as an honor or is it just essay material?
Answered

As a STEM bound student I had a convert station with my physics teacher about the upcoming unit and for lack of a better term I’ll be helping her write the test. As I feel I have a dearth of STEM ECs I’m wondering - and hoping - I can somehow use this to show my STEM involvement. Is that feasible?

This is a good thing for an essay topic for sure..you can really explain what are the things you did in depth and detailed. And did you enjoy and is it your passion, because passion projects are really important and that's what admissions officers look for. So yeah I think this would turn out as a great essay! Good luck!

It's not an honor, reason being you can't really list "I helped write a test" as an award. It's also not really an EC; I'd say it's a great anecdote to maybe weave into your essay, or, if she's willing, when she writes your recommendation letter she can definitely mention this. All in all, however, I wouldn't say this is enough to be an EC or an honor.
