SAT with Essay cancellation Answered
hi, I'll be taking SAT test in May! but I registered for the essay test also. now I want to cancel it but the college board said now the seats of the "without essay" test are full. can I cancel the essay test on the test day by telling the teacher there? or I'll just leave when the essay test starts?
Earn karma by helping others:
Speaking from personal experience, when the non-essay part of the test ended, the proctor said that if anyone didn't want to take the essay section they could just leave but they wouldn't get refunded for the cost of the essay. A couple of kids left, and then she started the essay section with everyone remaining. I'm assuming you'll be able to do that, but you should contact your testing center to see if that is an option just in case.
The collegeboard recently changed their SAT so that there are no longer any essay portion, so I guess whatever you are registered, the essay no longer exist.
