How to get involved with environmental science in high school?
Answered

Hi! I am interested in studying sustainability and environmental science in college. I live in New York City and am looking for an extra curricular centered around these interests. I am already part of my school's green team and am on track for a leadership role. I am looking for something outside of school such as a volunteer opportunity or internship. Thank you so much!

Hi, that is great that you want to expand more with your extracurricular. There are virtual volunteering and internships you can do. I recommend searching up different websites to find a platform you like. My favorite website to find virtual volunteering would be VolunteerMatch. For internships, I recommend internships.com. There is also a website called DoSomething.org where you can get volunteer hours for participating in different campaigns. I hope this helps!

Might sound obvious, but definitely take AP Environmental Science. Also, take Environmental Science courses at a local community college or university if possible. Essentially, show your interest both curricularly and extra-curricularly
