Hi! I'm taking my ap exams in less than a month and I'm worried I'm not gonna do well. Do college admissions care if you didn't do too well on the ap tests if it's what your majoring in?
I definitely agree with the other person who commented. The score of the test only matters towards college credit and you’d be surprised how many schools refuse AP credit. It’s more impressive that you took the time to take the AP class and did well in the course then it is to get a good test score. All that test scores determine is whether or not you’re getting that credit, so if you’re not happy with the score, don’t submit it. Colleges will still value the AP courses on your transcript :)
First of all, if you get a bad score, it's no big deal. It'll obviously help if you get a good score, but it's just an addition to the application not a key part of it. If you get a bad score i.e. <3 or <4 depending on the difficulty of the exam, I wouldn't submit it, but try your best on the ones you're majoring in. If you do bad on the AP tests, just make sure your grade in the class is solid enough to make up for it and you'll be good! Good luck, hope this helps!
