college application timeline

I am really anxious because I am not really sure about the application process and I don't want to be too late or too early for applying to colleges. Can someone give me a brief timeline of when you should start applying and what you should do?

Timeline

-In October the FAFSA opens every year- Apply to FAFSA to get most scholarships, and Finacial aid. Most schools will ask you for this

-After October is when colleges start opening to do to early/late/regular applications

-A great website to see colleges official application deadlines is on collegeboard.org (its free and they make the test for SATs so its legit) Just search up the college you want to go to and look at their deadlines and most have it listed on there

-Not every college is the same but most fall in the same months

-If you can find when apps are due just call/email their office

-Then after you get the dates put it in a calendar!

If you go to your profile dashboard and scroll to the area right under your colleges, you will see this button that says

"Want to stay on track throughout the admissions process? Check out our timeline for the entire college process below. Or, sign up to receive reminder emails delivered right to your inbox."

Click download PDF and you will get an in-depth application timeline made by CollegeVine to use

Hope this helps!
