AP Test

If I ended the school year with an A on my AP Biology class but don't get a good grade on the final test and ultimately don't send the score when I apply to colleges, will it look bad and will it affect my admission chances?

Well, depending on the school you’re going to , then no. A lot of students get good grades in their AP classes, but end up not taking the AP Test or even sending them cause they got a bad score on it. I doubt it will affect your admission chances because most colleges don’t dwell on AP scores. If you sent in a 4, it’s obviously going to look good on your part, but it’s not gonna matter either way. Dual credit classes are better anyway

Hi Marcella, a grade of an A is a great start for your GPA. Colleges love to see how well you perform on the test and it helps save you money when you get into a school and the credits transfer but taking it in the first place helps. Not taking it at all hurts worse than taking it and getting a 1 on the exam. Colleges like to see your effort, so study hard and do your best, but definitely give yourself the chance to succeed!

Life is tough, be tougher.
