Will summer school affect my chances of getting into a good school?
Answered

I really struggle with completing assignments on time. I’ve been getting better about it, but I still failed a course this year. I made it up over the summer, and I just finished my exam today, and I have officially recovered my grade. I am unsure of how it will affect my chances of getting acceptance and scholarships. I know my chances would be better if I had a better GPA and course record, but I am really worried about it. Has anyone else done course recovery and gotten into good schools?

Hi Allena! Kudos to you for finishing Summer School and best of luck for your test results ;) Personally, I believe that summer school is a great option for not only catching up, but getting ahead. Now you have done your part in recovering your credit, but I would also suggest utilizing the rest of this summer or next summer for getting ahead (start taking more optional/elective school courses). This will highlight your enthusiasm to learn and showcase your grit to complete advanced courses.

You got this!!
