SAT issue

My parents prohibited me from taking SAT because my health is really bad (severe heart and blood pressure problems cause of which is still not found), I once got Covid-19 and it was a nightmare and Covid situation in my country is about to get a lot worse. I barely managed to get an approval from them to take TOEFL. So will colleges understand my situation? I'm really nervous because a lot of people say that SAT is essential and in order to get into college you must take it.

As most colleges/universities are test-optional, you won't have to submit SAT/ACT scores. You can explain your situation in the additional information section. Admissions officers from test-optional universities will likely lay more emphasis on the Common/Coalition essay as well as the supplemental essays, so do your best on those.

I don't know what universities you're applying to, but UT Austin has a question asking about "How has COVID-19 affected you?"

There is a section on the common app I believe that allows you to explain additional information. Use this section to explain what you just said. The SAT is important, but going test-optional for health reasons like yours will not hurt your chances.
