How do I figure out a 'spike' for my Stanford application?
Answered

I've heard from a lot of people that Stanford is looking for people who are extremely good at one or two things, rather than those who are average in multiple things. So how do I pick that one thing in which I'm extremely good at?

There is no simple answer. You will have to do some self-reflection and figure out for yourself whether you are on a trajectory to curate a "spike" or not.

I think it's best to listen to a few experts and make your own conclusions.

I suggest that you read these posts and follow their advice.
