How and when do I send my transcript?
Answered

Hi everyone, I'm an international student, and I need to know when I should request my school transcripts and how exactly I should send them to colleges. My school does not have a counsellor and neither are they familiar with the process of applying to foreign universities.

Thank you!

If it's not in English and your school doesn't use GPA grading system you need to translate and evaluate it first. It takes a lot of time (more than a month),so ask your school for copy of your transcript (or original if it's an option) asap. Also you can ask any official from your school, who has an access to your grades to be a counselor. Hope this helps:)

Hey I'm also an international student, first you need to ask your school to compile your transcripts as soon as possible. The transcript is sent together with the counsellor recommendation letter by your counsellor. You can either send it via mail directly to the school or if you're using the common application send it through the counsellor's portal.

When you are ready to apply, just ask your school principal to upload the transcripts for you, you can explain the uploading process to your principal and I guess that would be fine.
