Think about what you broadly would like to do, then choose a major that loosely fits it. It makes it easier to switch majors when you already have classes that could apply to the ones you wish to transfer into. Like, I like science, I like literature and research. I think I wanna do neuroscience but i'm not sure considering I love vet science. I put my major in as biology in a B.S so that if i wanted to do vet science, i cant still use the classes that my previous major offered to feed the credit requirements of the new choice. Also, not all schools give you a leg up for being decided. Do some research on whether it harms or helps to be undecided.

I was told to major in business for the first year until you find what you want to do.

Start application for a college you want to get in with a less competitive major. When you will find your interested major, request major change to college.
