Do you get the credit for a AP class if you pass the test?

I'm taking a dual enrollment class that offers to take the AP test. If I take and pass it, can I put that on my college application for courses? Or would I just put it in my test scores section?

There is a section on the application where you can self report your AP scores--you would put scores there. High scores can boost your chances of admission, but aren't a huge factor. As for earning credit, it depends on the school. Some colleges give credit for 3's, but at most schools you need a 4 or 5 for credit. For information on specific schools, google [name of school] AP test credit information. Hope this helps!

You would not double count on the college application and you should put it in your test scores section. You typically get college credit for AP if you pass the test, but it depends on the college. To find out how much credit you could get, Google "[college name] AP credit" and you should find their AP credit policy pretty easily.
