Answered

I’m interested in becoming a clinical psychologist (hoping to dabble between research and practice. Is AP Biology worth taking in high school for someone majoring in psychology?

Psychology is pre-med. AP Bio is pre med. AP Bio shows that you can excel in the most difficult of science fields, which all ties back into premed.

The areas psychology and biology do overlap class-wise, so if have the option to take it then absolutely, yes. For psychology and in general no matter what you are majoring in, you should as a rule of thumb take as many AP classes as you can without your grades falling off significantly. AP Bio will look good on your transcript and could fulfill college requirements in your field. 100%, take the AP Bio.

I would totally take this class. I'm currently taking both and many of the topics overlap or I need to have the info I've learned in Bio to continue a more detailed section in Psych and vice versa. Psychology is a science-guided class and bio also talks about the mind and body consistently. It'll be not only helpful for you but look good on apps. Hope this helped!

yes, I think taking AP Bio is worth because this shows that you can excel in every field. No matter if your are majoring in psychology. Taking any AP is always worth.
