I have a passion for editing and photography since I've been doing it since I was 9-10 years old. How can I use my skills to do some community service or extracurriculars in school??

Along with being a photographer for your school, reach out to animal shelters (after this pandemic) to see if they need a photographer and someone to make flyers to promote adoption for these animals. You can also find multiple opportunities to make videos for nonprofits, reach out to a local nonprofit. During the pandemic, take pictures of the empty streets and areas and send them to your school newspaper or your school social media to publish. You can also ask your school newspaper if you can become the social media manager for a social media account that they might not have (instagram, facebook). Continue developing your photography skills by taking online classes, you might find some at Coursera and you can also contact your counselor for this. Start your own social media account or blog about photography, start a small photography business. Good luck!
Photography and editing is a great skill! Maybe you could photograph issues in your community or things that you want known to the world, and then also write about it. This would be great because not only could you be helping an issue that is not widely addressed, but colleges would love to see that you are using your talents to make a difference. Maybe start networking with people so you could help with your town's newspaper. If you have a school newspaper, help with that. If you don't, then see about starting one at your school. You could also start your own personal newsletter that you can get friends and family to subscribe by email to. This way, it is all your own work and you can choose whatever you want to put in it.
