What teacher should I ask for a recommendation letter?
Answered

I am an International student who is planning to apply with psychology as my intended major. I do take psychology and next year (12th grade) I will take AP Psychology. I also take AP Human geo and AP US History, as well as honors english, biology and math. Which teacher would be best to ask for a recommendation letter?

I would choose a teacher that you’ve gotten to know personally. If you’ve had a teacher for more than one year, then chances are they’ll be better for a recommendation letter. I would choose one from 10th/11th grade or 11th/12th grade, as teachers really won’t remember your 9th grade year unless you had a very small class. If you participate in extracurriculars, and a teacher you have this year also sponsors the extracurricular, that’s also a great choice. The teacher is hopefully relevant to your major (English/Social Science over STEM) but honestly I don’t think it makes that much of a difference as long as they truly know who you are as a student.
