Should I ask the Assistant Head of School for a LOR
Answered

I am close to the assistant head of school, he has been my Esports coach for the past two years and the Spring Sing Moderator (which I was on leadership for). From these activities, he knows me pretty well and during our esport meetings he talks to us really casually like we aren't students. But he has recently been promoted to interm assistant head of school from assistant principal of athletics. Because of this he is VERY busy, but I think he has the best judge of charctire of me. Should I still ask for a letter of recommendation from him? My first deadline is November 15th, early action. I have two letters from teachers but I do not know them as well.

Yes, that is a good idea. Do it this week because 3 to 4 weeks is a good request window. It's always better to pick someone that knows you and can advocate for you better.

Good luck.

Hi, I would say yes, definitely! Explain to him what you just wrote out in this question so that he understands exactly why you're asking him. Let him know your first deadline, but also tell him that if he cannot complete it by then that you completely understand, and then use your other LORs. That way, it takes the pressure off of him more, so he is more likely to do it. I hope that this helps, good luck!! :)
