CommonApp - Extracurricular Activities (online summer programs)

Hi. I'm a senior applying for EA through CommonApp.

For the 'Extracurricular Activities' section, I am thinking of adding two online summer programs I did over the summer break. However, I participated right after 11th grade (meaning before 12th grade).

CommonApp asks for 'Participation grade levels' so what should I put? I'm a little unsure.

Additionally, I don't remember if I did 5 hours/week or 6 hours/week for both programs (I checked my history, but the course wasn't live, so it was mostly self-study). Are admission officers very picky about this?

Thank you.

Hi! You would check off the 12th grade box. On the CommonApp, they say "For activities or jobs that take place over the summer, students will check off the box for the rising grade. Example: The activity or job took place during the summer between your 9th and 10th grade year. You will check of the 10th grade box."

Also I don't think admissions officers will be very picky about the hours you put. No one is actually keeping track of every hour they spend doing an activity, so no big deal if it's just an estimate. Good luck!!
