I am a half white and half asian 10th grader.
I was wondering if on college applications they require you to select all that apply for race, or am I able to simply select biracial?
On the common app these are the questions you have to answer to complete the demographics section of the application for over 900 colleges that use the Common App. You can see there are many options to drill down and choose from other than simply selecting bi-racial. They want to know your White component in detail and your Asian component in detail.
Hope that helps. Good luck.

Yes, colleges ask if you're multiracial. If you are using the common app to apply for college, it's on the profile section. It asks you to choose in which category you belong. It also asks about your citizenship.
I think for the most part, applications have a bi/multiracial box or one that says other. I'm part white and part native american so I have to deal with that too.
