On the activities section of common app, Can I put activities that I'm still working on or looking forward to complete?
Answered

Example: working on a project (not completed yet)

Preparing to participate in a competition (has not yet participated)

But have some evidence of work started

If you are currently in the process of doing an activity, I think you can put it down, but make sure to use the correct verb tense to indicate that you are working on it.

However, if you are trying to say something about potentially winning a competition, I do not think you can say that.

You only want to write down current activities or past activities not future activities.

That is no different than stating you are signed up for the March SAT and plan on getting a 1550. Colleges only want to evaluate you on verifiable data.

What you are probably unaware of is that many college admissions officers will Google Search your name and see what comes up. If you state you are a State XC champion or, or serve on your City Council, verifying these activities, should be no problem.

The appropriate time to talk about future activities is if after you submit your application and have achieved something notable , or say if you get waitlisted, you can always add new information to your LOCI, letter of continued interest.

I think you can definitely state the activities that you are still working on. Can you give an example/ examples of these activities.
