International Student (odd situation)

Hello everyone.

Does anyone know how the admissions process is for international kids who are living in the US and go to a public school?

For example, I live in the US because of my father's job yet I'm not a US Citizen nor a Permanent resident, I'm going to graduate here in the US but who do I apply to college? as a international student or domestic student?

try to take the classes you are offered, if u apply before being a permanent resident then u r an international student even if u have spent all ur life in usa. also at the moment of applying if u get the pr then u will be considered domestic applicant.

Hi I think you have to first find out when you become a “U.S citizen” before you can apply as a domestic student. I think you have to live in the U.S for a certain number of years. You should definetly research that. If the years are greater than the years it will take you to start applying for college then you might still have to apply as an international student but you can definitely explain your situation to the prospective colleges through email and I’m sure they would be glad to help. 😊
