My counselor has confirmed with me about three times in the past month that she has sent in my letters of rec, counselor rec, and fee waiver to all of the schools I applied to. Because she sends the recommendation letters through Naviance, she said it might take some time before Common App shows it as accepted (even though it’s been over a month). She also said that she accepted my request for a fee waiver on Common App. However, I’ve received numerous emails from colleges asking for both my letters of rec and fee waiver and neither of them show up on my Common App. I’m extremely worried that schools like Vanderbilt may cancel my application altogether. What should I do?
Personally, I'd have a meeting with the counselor and show her the emails that the colleges are sending you, and ask her to confirm that she did send things (have her show you and explain it). If that doesn't work, I'd call the schools and make sure that they can't access it and ask them if there's anything you can do. It sucks this is happening but I really hope it works out. Good luck with Vanderbilt!
Hello! I would begin to create a paper trail starting now! You will have no evidence if you keep meeting with her in person. Email her and ask specific questions with dates and times. Take screen shots and save every interaction. Try going to another counselor if you can for back up as well. Ask her to even forward you the conformation emails as well. Compile a list over everything you are missing. If you do not feel comfortable confronting her yet and they do not show up on common app then try calling the help number and getting to the bottom of this. Otherwise, I would prepare for the worse. I'm sorry you're going through this.
Good luck!
