Will not taking Physics impact my chances at the ivy league?
Answered

Hi!

My science schedule throughout my four years of hs looks like this

bio intensified -> chem intensified -> ib bio hl1 -> ib bio hl2

Is it bad that I haven't taken physics? I am applying for an econ major and I am taking 4 hl's

Thanks!

Hello!

No, this will not really negatively impact your chances at an ivy league. Normally, (or so I've heard) colleges like to see at least one of the core science classes in your transcript (physics/biology/chemistry). Since you have taken ib biology and a chemistry course, this should be more than enough. If you can take physics, of course take it but it will not be the deciding factor of you getting rejected or not.

Instead, focus on extracurriculars that could align with being an econ major!

Good luck!!
