ESA question
Answered

Okay, so I know that regular animals aren't allowed in college dorms but will my emotional support animal be allowed? 'Cause I know ESA's aren't allowed in a lot of places but will I be able to bring him into my dorm? (if that makes sense)

I would directly ask the colleges you are applying to as they all have different policies. On my college's website it says there is no guarantee they will be allowed and you will need to have consent from your roommate to bring them. However, while I thought the information on their website seemed kinda harsh I know at least three people bringing ESAs. Don't be discouraged if the what is on their website isn't clear or seems like a no.

From what I've seen, it's the same as regular housing. If it is reasonable to accommodate, they will, but if you want something like a 12-foot venomous snake they have the right to say no because it's not safe or acceptable with their insurance.

For the most part, I imagine ESA's are allowed, but definitely contact your college and maybe look more into universities that allow them.
