Gap year before going to college for bio or nursing
Answered

I've been thinking about taking a gap year in between my hs senior year and freshman college year I would probably do some sort of program. I want to go into healthcare though, has anyone taken a gap year in this field or another similar one, and did it feel like it set you back? and also how you went about admissions during that time. also i am not applying to ivy's or anything, more liberal arts schools like liberty university, Samford University, and lee university

Gap years are great for 2 reasons.

1. You get a well deserved break to do something else for 1 years before you embark on your undergrad course work. Who knows you might learn something about yourself that you didn't know and have a better idea of what you want to study

2. If there was something imperfect about your academic narratives, ECs, test scores, you can always use the time to improve your course rigor, take the SAT/ACT over, and improve your ECs.

The net result is you will be a better student! It may very well get you accepted into a better college as well.

Good luck
