How impressive is being a manager of the high school swim team?

For next year, I was given the opportunity to be the swim team manager who attends meets and helps with a lot of the small tasks for the team. Is this something that is just as good as doing that sport and is important to list in my college app, or something as more of a hobby I should keep to myself?

With sport ECs, the best roles would be the following

-Team Captain of a Varsity Sport

-MVP or Key Starter in a Varsity Sport

-Member of the Varsity Squad

-Team Captain of a Junior Varsity Sport

-MVP or Key Starter in a Junior Varsity Sport

-Member of the JV Squad

-Then any kind of supporting role like team manager

Unless you are NOT athletic and have no ability to play on a sport team at your HS, I would probably not classify this role as an impressive one. Some colleges like Stanford and Harvard actually score you on your athletic ability so keep that in mind.

Good luck.
