It is difficult as high school students to get paid internships. My advice would be shadow medical professionals and see different jobs day to day. Once you have gotten your foot in the door with a individual or hospital, start using your connections to look for internship or even volunteer opportunities. Good luck!! Honestly it just depends on what type department in the hospital you want to work with.

You could shadow a doctor. I think it will be very difficult to find a paid medical internship as a high Schooler.
