JHU CTY Transcript
Answered

Hi!

So last year I took a class with JHU's CTY and I got an A-, and I don't want universities to see the grade. Are CTY transcripts automatically sent to colleges? If so, how can I prevent that?

Thanks!

If you received a separate transcript from JHU CTY, then it will not automatically be sent to colleges. Colleges will only see the grade if you took one of these classes through your high school for credit and they put it on your high school transcript.

In any case, there is no need to fear! An A- is a respectable grade in any case, even when applying to top schools. College admissions is holistic, meaning that your essays, EC list, test scores, letters of recommendation, and more facets of who you are can easily make up for small imperfections on your transcript. Hope this helps!
