What would I put for extracurricular for if I represented my school in a committee for my city?
Answered

I am going to be serving on a Racial Equity committee for my city, and I was wondering what category that might fit in. I looked in politics and I didn't really feel as though some of the stuff fit from what I saw.

I would agree with the ranking and category that Cameron listed. One thing to keep in mind is that some colleges may rank this activity as even stronger than 2b because it relates to racial equity. Colleges care deeply about racial equity and social justice, and students who are deeply involved in activities related to them will receive a boost in the admissions process. 2a is a reasonable ranking because of this. Hope this helps!

I would slate this as "2B" for the time being under "community service"

I held the highest school level leadership in a large community service club
