Hi Elana! There are some activities that look great on college applications, I'll go over a few of them.

Community Service: This is a really big one. Colleges love community service. Usually, 50-200 hours in the same activity is pretty impressive to colleges, since it shows interest in that specific task. Tutoring someone is a really easy way to do this, you can meet up on the weekends and easily earn hours.

Competitions: This is also pretty big, depending on how far you reach. Find a competition that you are interested in doing, and try to make it to at least a region or state level.

Honor Societies: There are plenty of honor societies, but try and reach for a school-level one(such as the National Honor Society) instead of a subject-level one(such as the Science Honor Society).

Internships: This one can also be really big for your applications, try to see if you can find any well-recognized internships related to your major.

Business: Starting a business/organization over anything you are interested in makes you look like you have a hobby you are really interested in, which colleges love.

Student Council: Even being a member alone of STUCO is pretty strong on an application.

Clubs: There are a lot of levels to this one. Being a member alone is standard, and having a leadership position looks great and is stronger. However, being either president or founder of a club is very strong for an application.

Summer Programs: Being in these is pretty good too, but try getting into one where you need to apply to get in, non-application ones are good but they look standard to many colleges.

Good luck with your applications and I hope this helps!
