Scholarships
Answered

I am currently a junior in high school and will be a senior next year, my parents keep telling me to start applying for scholarships as soon as possible. They are telling me to apply for as many as I can find. I've never applied for a scholarship before, I have no idea what to do or where to start.

I use scholarship websites that match the scholarships that I am eligible for. I get emails every time they find another scholarship, but tbh I haven't really been trying to apply for them in awhile because I'm so busy :( Best of luck to you!

hey! I use Bold.org, Niche.com, Fastweb.com, and Raise.me for scholarship searches. these websites often have no-essay scholarships that you can easily and quickly apply for as well as scholarships that require essays/more effort to apply. Raise.me doesn't require essays at all; it just asks you to enter your grades, GPA, extracurriculars, etc. and matches you to micro-scholarships that certain colleges throughout the U.S. offer.

I hope this helps, and best of luck on your scholarship search!!

You could start by talking to your schools counselor, its their job to help you with things like that. Next you could try talking to specific college admissions advisors although they may be more difficult to contact. There are also lots of websites available to streamline the process.

This is a good place to start, I just won the weekly scholarship on CollegeVine and then other websites such as bold.org and scholarships360 can offer or lead you to many different easy to apply, non-essay scholarships. After that I'd talk to you counselor and look into what is offered locally.

Four Websites:

Niche.com

www.scholarshippoints.com

cappex.com

Bold.org

These are great websites for applying to scholarships. I found them really helpful and they coach through college experiences too!
