How should I best study for AP exams?
Answered

Hi!

I will be taking my first AP exams this May and I was wondering how I should study or if anyone has any advice. I'll be taking the AP Biology and AP World History: Modern exams.

Thanks!

When I crammed for my AP exams, I used https://fiveable.me/

I really recommend using this platform and joining their discord. I scored 4s on my AP exams since I used the resources there. I studied every afternoon, and put 2 hours towards each of my exams (since I was taking 2)! I took important notes and did practice questions that I found online :) Having a friend to study with may also help too

Do as many practice tests as you can, studying without not knowing what you should be studying is no help! It gets very tedious, but do every FRQ, LAQ, and MCQ you can find, previous test questions will help you get an idea of what you need to be studying exactly.

Good luck!

Hi! I will also be taking the AP World History: Modern exam soon. I bought the Princeton Review book from Amazon which was a little bit under 20 dollars. In addition, the AP CollegeBoard website has daily videos that should be available to you when you log into the AP Classroom. Our AP World teacher gave us a book (AMSCO Perfection Learning AP World History: Modern) that has also been very helpful as it has practice MCQs, SEQs, LAQs, and DBQs. Hope this helps, and best of luck to you on your exams!

My advice would be to buy some of the study material for the AP classes your taking. Personally I am a flashcard type of person so I bough the flashcards for each AP class and I bought 2 practice exams.

Practice exams are the most important because it gives you an idea of what to exspect.

If you like to listen to videos college board normally has unit break downs of all the AP classes!

I hope this helped. <3
