Do I have to go to a graduate school to become an animator?

I read somewhere that for some jobs you have to continue your university focus and go to a graduate school for that course so is there a animation graduate school I need to go to?

In short: no, you do not need to go to graduate school to become an animator. You certainly can go on to get a Master's in Animation, but it is not usually required. Typically, employers only require a Bachelor's degree in Art, Graphic Design, Computer Animation/Animation, or Fine Arts (or another related major,) and a good art portfolio. A Master's degree is certainly helpful if you wish to access senior positions in the animation industry, however. Hope this helps!

Absolutely not.

You can start by purchasing animation software and taking a course online on who to use it.

And if you gain some competency in using industry standard software programs you can apply for an internship or paying job at an animation studio in your home city.

Good luck.
